I’m a therapist and social worker in Rapid City, South Dakota. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and neuroscience, with an emphasis on the mind-body connection. I pay attention to how the brain and body respond to stress, relationships, and healing. I help clients notice what’s happening in their nervous system—things like tension, breath, or emotion—and use tools that support the brain in rewiring old patterns and creating new, healthier ones. I like to work experientially, using information from the body, imagery, metaphors, dreams, and spirituality.
My undergraduate career was focused on psychology, specifically abnormal psychology and trauma. I received training in clinical social work at Boston University where I focused my research on Native American mental health. I am a member of a monthly modern psychoanalytic training group for therapists. I have a particular interest in working with parents, couples, and individuals seeking to understand themselves deeply.
